Akshat is a Counsel with over 5 years of experience at the bar, practicing before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, Patna High Court, and various tribunals including the PMLA Appellate Tribunal, IP Offices, TDSAT and the NCLT/NCLAT. He is a known expert in Copyright law and has been widely published in the field.
In the past, he has advised Big Tech companies, Big Media Companies and OTT Platforms, Gaming unicorns, Music Composers as well as Startups on New Media and Copyright issues, including its intersection with Artificial Intelligence. He has also advised various brands on their IP strategy, and is known for his expertise in defending claims of Trademark infringement in Courts.
Akshat has also advised and represented individuals and companies for White Collar defense in criminal actions, as well as in tax disputes, primarily concerning re-assessment challenges, and credit availment.
